Give me some more information as to the quality of the construction of this watch versus the "Swiss" replica. Is it water resistant? Is it real steel or steel coated? Does it have all appropriate markings? How about longevity? Thanks

All our watches are water resistant but not waterproof, we do not recommend swimming, showering or taking a bath with them. By taking the watches underwater you will revoke their guarantee.

I have had a real Rolex, and the bezel ratchets as you turn it so it does not inadvertently get bumped and lose it's place. I have seen replicas that do not do this, do yours ratchet firmly, or are they just a cheap facsimily?

All of our replica watches are made from a resistant stainless steel metal alloy. The ones that are gold plated are then further coated with a protective layer for more resistance. This insures that their color will not turn or fade with time and use. However, you will have to take care of them and try not to let them get scratched.

First of all there are differences in the movement and the mechanism. Swiss replica models have Swiss made ETA automatic movement, 25 jewels. Japanese replicas have Miyota automatic movement, 21 jewels. The quality of stainless steel is better in Swiss models.
The Swiss watches have a high quality movement which offer a smooth sweeping movement of the second hand
The Japanese movement is also very good and the second hand sweeps smoothly, but not as on the Swiss watches.

When you first receive your automatic replica, you need to wind it for 3 minutes(30 turns -full circle) straight before wearing it. If you wear it everyday, it will continue to wind itself on your wrist when you move around and walk.
Inside the face of the watch there is a small mallet which self winds the watch according to the movement of your hand. What you need to do is what we call "jump start" the watch, the same way as you would format a newly purchased mobile phone. You will have to turn the watch (the hands of the watch) for 720 degrees (full circle twice) 3 times a day for 2 days.After you turn it full circle twice simply wear the watch and the small mallet inside it will move according to the movement of your hand.
If you stop wearing it for more than approximately 2 days, the watch will need to be reset, but will then automatically wind itself once you start wearing it again. The disadvantage to this is pretty clear. Your watch doesn't keep time if you don't wear it constantly.
If your Automatic is losing or gaining time in a 24 hour period the watch needs to be adjusted. All of our automatics have an adjustment screw on the movement just like the originals. Any local jeweler can service these watches.

The bracelet length is 195 x 20 mm. If the watch bracelet is too large for your wrist, you can take it to any jeweler; they will be able to adjust it easily, but no more than 4-5 links.
